David G. Valiaveedan is the Vice President Finance and Treasurer of Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc.  He is responsible for the treasury and corporate finance functions of the company including financial
joint ventures.

Prior to joining Hovnanian in 2005, Mr. Valiaveedan was a Vice President at AIG Global Real Estate where he led capital markets activities for a portfolio of AIG sponsored global private equity funds and investments. 

Mr. Valiaveedan has over 18 years of real estate experience in the structuring and placement of debt of equity for public and private companies diversified across the homebuilding, multifamily, office and hotel segments.   Prior to AIG, he was a Vice President in Real Estate Investment Banking at Credit Suisse, a Vice President at Credit Re Mortgage Capital, and an Associate in Real Estate Investment Banking at Bankers Trust (now Deutsche Bank).

Mr. Valiaveedan holds a BS degree in Finance from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.
