There are so many wonderful possibilities in design selection that you will find at the Cambridge Homes Design Gallery. Our Home Design Gallery is an interactive personalization showroom that will make the process of design selection for your new home easier and more fun than you ever thought possible. Experience products, materials and decorator items hands on from the bathroom and kitchen vignettes, to flooring, trim, exterior finishes, lighting and much, much more!"
Deciding what to include in your new home can be stressful for some. However, by taking the time to prepare, you can enjoy the process and create the perfect environment in Cambridge Homes’ expansive Design Gallery!
After you sign the contract on your new home and choose its structural features with your Sales Consultant, you will be given an Available Options Report. The tool is invaluable in helping you make budget decisions before solidifying your final design choices.
Once your contract is executed, you will be contacted by the Design Gallery to schedule two important appointments.
The first appointment is the Browsing Appointment. You will be escorted through the Design Gallery, shown how to identify standard and available options, and educated on your Available Options Report. You are then free to spend time narrowing down your color selections and finishes.
A few homeowners underestimate the importance of the Browsing Appointment. But the purchase of a home is often your largest investment, so it’s worth doing right! Take the time to discuss and sort out your preferences carefully, as they will affect how you live every day.
As you browse, concentrate on key choices such as cabinets, countertops and flooring. Also contemplate hardware and fixture finishes, as well as other “goodies” you discover in the Design Gallery.
Review your Available Options Report and make notes with specific questions for your Designer. Decide ahead of time where important objects will be placed to determine TV, computer or phone needs.
The second appointment is your Final Selections Appointment with your Designer. You will begin by reviewing electrical placement, discuss any low voltage, energy or electrical specifics, and then move on to color and product selections. Your Designer will assist in making sure your selections are appropriate and help you nail down the details.
During this process, please keep in mind that we will certainly cover the broad aspects, but it is your responsibility to make sure EVERYTHING you’re interested in has been covered. Remember to keep a pad handy in the days before your appointment so you can jot down questions as they pop into your mind.
Your Final Selections Appointment is just that. Therefore, it is imperative that you spend time beforehand thinking through your desires and financial conditions. If you would like to utilize the Design Gallery further, you may schedule more time prior to your Final Selections Appointment to look around. The Design Gallery is accessible BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, so be sure to schedule extra sessions appropriately.
Feel free to bring pictures, fabric swatches or any other visual examples to help your Designer understand your vision. Pulling pages from magazines may help you discover what you’re drawn to. For example, perhaps different pictures of “dream kitchens” reveal that you gravitate toward a certain type of cabinetry or countertop.
Reap the rewards of creating a home that is truly your own! Be prepared, and you can relax knowing you’ve made terrific choices!
